Apply for aid

SUDO Foundation makes one-time grants (typically $500–$2,000) to US families with at least one dependent under 18, experiencing job loss. We pay landlords, utilities, and childcare providers directly when possible.

How it works

  1. Verify your identity — ~5 minutes, via Stripe Identity. Government ID + selfie.
  2. Tell us your situation — short form; an AI assistant can help you draft your story. A human reviews it.
  3. Upload documents — unemployment letter or termination notice, utility/lease showing address, proof of kids (school enrollment or birth cert with sensitive fields redacted).
  4. We review within 5 business days — every grant is decided by a human. AI flags things for us; it never approves or rejects.
  5. Funds go to the vendor or to you — direct-to-landlord payment when possible.
